Hi I'm Sam Prest! I hope you’re as excited to share with me, my Water-World as I am to share it with you. This is my Sacred Space which I am opening to you with the intention to share from my heart and to experience a mutually beneficial exchange. You are not invited as a guest, you are invited to be a member of the crew and part of a team. We will Work, Play, Eat and be Merry! We will work together and continue to maintain these 100 year old vessels and continue to turn the Barges into a paradise, for yourself and future traveller’s to come and enjoy!

THE BARGE CALLS
It was 2010, I had travelled from Australia to perform my show in England. My friend and I were in a coffee shop in the city of York, the conversation lead to a question about my future and how I imagined my retirement. I told her how my dream was to one day own a houseboat, not a horrible, boring, typical houseboat, it would need to be some kind of rustic floating cabin.

As I was describing this dream I realised that this construction would be heavy and I would need a solid, floating base to build from. I thought of a Barge, a flat platform type of thing. I went online to see if I could find a picture of what I meant and on a boat sales website I found this. Its an ex-military Ammunitions Barge and weighs 100 tonne of concrete. The more I looked, the more I was in awe. I realised this was a once in a lifetime opportunity, it had just been listed and simply put, I bought her.
Without knowing exactly her location I arrived home to Sydney Australia and found out that this vessel was sitting in a bay that occupied my favourite place on the river, it was my Sacred Space and this Barge had been there all along waiting for my attention. The Barge called me and continues to call others from around the globe, she teaches the art of Joy and Connection, the very opposite of which man had designed her for. She's now a community space disconnected from the Matrix and with the help from those that are called she continues to unfold her creativity. Welcome to the dream, Welcome to Barge Force One!
